Johnsons Reconstruction Plan:
In johnsons plan he pardoned southerners who took the oath to the union, states were required to abolish slavery and repay the confederate debt. States could then have elections and join the union.
Black codes:
-Black people couldn't gather after sunset
-Black men had to sign a agreement that said they would work for a year and those who quite early usually lost all of there pay
- Black people could rent or own homes only in rural areas
- Black people who didn't work could be wiped, fine or sold for a years labor.
14 and 15 amendment
- Stated that all american citizens could vote, and the color or race of that person didn't matter.
-all people born in the united states are citizens and no state can make laws making a certain race abide by the rules which another race doesn't
Carpetbaggers
-carpetbaggers were greedy men who tried to profit from the southerners
-usually educated men who wanted to make money
Scalawags
- people who oppose secession
- many scalawags were poor but not all

The war ends

At the end of the war, there are very big changes. The blacks are now free, but they are also now without a home or food. The war has destroyed two thirds of the souts shopping industries and the south has lost 260,000 soldiers. After the war there were many widows and orphans, due to the fact that all who fighted were men.

Linchon had a reconstruction plan put in place, which said that if any confederate who took oath with the uinio would be pardoned. There were no pardons for people who didn't take the oath. All states were to participate in anything the union did they were to come back fully to the union, this was another rule of reconstruction.

Blacks with freedom had the freeedom of movement, freedom to own land, freedom to worship and freedom to learn.

The Compromise of 1850

When the gold rush occured the Americans said the California should be admitted into the United States as a free state. This would mess up the balance between slave states and free state. Henry Clay proposed the idea that was then named the Compromise of 1850. He came up with 5 laws: 1. Congress would admit California into the Union
2. People in New Mexico and Utah territories would decide whether to allow slavery or not.
3. Congress would abolish the sale of enslaved people, in Washington D.C
4. Texas would give up claims to New Mexico for $10 million
5. A Fugitive slave act
This avoided the problem because slavery was still there it was not taken care of.

Current Events: Two Moroccan Journalist Jailed for Misinformation

In which situations will compromise not work in a teenagers life?

In a teenagers life there is mainly two sources of power, one which everyone abides by the Goverment, and the second would be their parents. Every teenager or most teenager get rules in which he/her cant change, rules like you cant stay out past a certain time, you cant get into a fight at school or else you are grouded, or a rule could be that as simple as call your mom every saturday. Lets say the teenager were to get into a fight at school or break their curfue, the parents would then make up a certain punishment in which the parents feel would make sure the child would never do it again. But in my opinion this never really works. One way in which you can avoid a punishment like this is to just not do it, or dont get caught. On rule that no one can get around is murder, a human being cant murder another human being without having to pay a certain consequence. Well I am sure a couple slip by but I know the vast majority of murders get caught and they then go to jail for a life sentece or a certain amount of years. This is a rule which no one can alter, people take this very sereously. A pathway you can follow to some how get past all of this would yet again be to just not comit the crime, or get a very good lawyer.

Where would I emmigrate to after my university studies

After I finished my university studies and I was all prepared to work, I would move back home. I would have probably went away from home to go to school so I would come back home to start a life. In Washington ( which is the place I would live) people work all types of ways such as lawyers which is what I want to be, bankers, own your own business, ext. People in Washington depend on each other family wise an friend wise because you wouldn’t go up to some random person and ask then to help you out financially or to stay in their house. In the society there people are ranked high class, medium and low class. High class is that you are very wealthy mainly rich. Medium class is that you work for a living and you have a stable bank account and you are not poor but not right you are middle class. Low class is that you are on the street, poor no where to go and you beg for a living. In Washington people are treated as equals everyone is treated the same, because in the state even this country the American constitution is in place and everyone is to be treated as equals. In Washington the majority of religions are, I believe are Christian and there are others such as Muslims and Catholics, protestants and others. In technology everyone is pretty much up to speed on the latest gadgets but I don think the states is as advanced as Japan.

1) There is a law saying that we as the people have the right to chose our own religion and that the Goverment cant alter that in any way. They cant tell us if they want us to be muslim or christian or anyother religion they cant, it is a law.
2) No one soldier in anytime or need can be housed into a person without their permission first.
3) There will be no sentence without a trial no one will be sent to jail because of acusations they will have a speedy trial.
4) The right that people diserve to be safe in their houses without being taken out of them.
5) No one should have to answer to the capital or some infamouse crime unless their is a trial first.
The colonists were able to defeat the greatest world power of their time by receiving help from the French. The French were a big help to the colonist without them they couldn’t have possibly won the war, the colonist are also a brave and ready to fight for independence. This all started due to the Boston Tea party this was probably the point in time that started this war, the breaking point. The first battles were fought in Lexington and Concord, the continental army played a part in this as well.

- The right of revolution (or right of rebellion) is a right or duty, variously stated throughout history, possessed by subjects of a state that justifies their action to overthrow the government to whom the subjects otherwise would owe allegiance.(from the site:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_of_revolution)

It is to judge all of these but if I had to put one before the rest I would have to chose Popular Sovereignity.

What was the importance of the French and Indian War? How did it affect the colonists and British leadership?
- The French and Indian War was inportant because it settled a dispute of the vast amount of land that the french were claiming. The British was doubtfull in the begginnging but towards the end they started to win so that doubt subsided.

What issues and concerns by the colonists lead to their declaring independence from Britain?
-The big issues with Britan was when britan started to put a taks on everday items and they had to pay to use them well pay more to use them. Then a law was made in which it stated that the British could make any law over the colonist any law that they see fit. The Boston Day Massacre was a horrible thing the British massacred the colonist well some they lined them up and shot them down.

What were some of the main principles from which the Declaration of Independence was created? In other words, what new ideas and beliefs did the Declaration “state”?
- The new beliefs of the decleration was for peace and unity there was to be a goverment in which would protect the people and there rights. If failing to do so the people could then realect another goverment.

1. What are the importance of the French and the Indian War. How did it affect the colonists and the British leadership?

The French and Indian war was an important war because the victor would then control a vast amount of land. It affected the colonist and the British leaders badly because the French had the Indians as allys so British lost battles.

2. What issues and concerns by the colonist lead to their declaring independence from Britan?

The British wanted the colonist to help pay for the cost of the war. The colonist refused which caused the making of the stamp act, and the Deceratory act which says that the British can make laws over the colonish at any time whatsoever. This led to the Bostonsay massacre which then the colonist declared independence.

3. What were some of the main priniciples from wchi the Decleration of Independence was created? In other words what new ideas and beliefs did the Decleration"state"?

That everyone should have equel rights and wether they are kings, royalty, or presidents. There should be a goverment protecting the peoples rights. If the goverment fails to do the so the people can realect a new goverment.
1. What are the different reasons morroccains migrate away from morrocco? Using Esprat+G what are possible different groups and whar are their reasons?

Morroccains tend to migrate from morrocco for reasons such as education, family, love and work. A morroccain family has a child sends their child to a great school and then for college they wont there child to leave morrocco to seek greater knowledge in other continents. Some morroccains have family members in other continents so they then travel there they migrate to a different place. Some morroccains tend to go for love they love someone and want to get married to that person out of morrocco or near the other family. Work my dad is in morrocco for his work so he migrated here for 3 years while morroccains might migrate to America for the same reasons.
